The IBS Association was founded in 1996 as an organization of rail forwarding companies and is currently being designed by approximately 60 member companies from 16 countries. At present, the focus of IBS is on the development of a product for the renewal of wagonload traffic, the development of required terminals and the support of digitization.

Agro Paris Bourse is an association made up of the entire French and European grain industry. Its role is to facilitate interaction, dialogue and information exchange between the various leading players in the grain sector (cereals, oilseeds and their derivatives), which it wishes to bring together by organising regular professional meetings.

FORWARDIS, a subsidiary of Rail Logistics Europe and SNCF, is the merger of five historical rail freight transport entities: Ecorail, Ermechem, Ermefret, SNCF Deutschland, SNCF United-Kingdom.

CREATION OF FORWARDIS

Forwardis was born in 2016 from the fusion of five sister companies. Their union within FORWARDIS allows us to respond to the increasingly international needs of our clients, to seek synergies and mutualization in order to optimize operational and economic performance, while maintaining linguistic and geographic proximity… throughout the continent.

2017

LAUNCH OF THE FORWARDNET NETWORK

2017 is the year of the creation of FORWARDNET: a new rail network for single wagons with an end-to-end implementation commitment between French stations and the Rhur, Scandinavia, Eastern Germany, Poland as well as South-Eastern Europe regions. For our customers, this means an end-to-end track & trace offer – as well as automatic and personalized information, the possibility to book slots for their wagons on our trains and in our warehouses, monthly quality reports on their loads and a continuous quality improvement plan.

2019

NEW PRESIDENCY AT FORWARDIS FRANCE

In August 2019, Sebastien Vacher succeeded Nicolas Giraud as President of Forwardis France. The Presidency of Forwardis Germany remains unchanged: the two CEOs are Aleksandra Rohricht and Philippe Golder since 2016.

LAUNCH OF A CSR POLICY

Since 2021, all our employees are regularly sensitized and trained on safety and environmental issues. As a subsidiary of the SNCF Group, FORWARDIS applies all the rules of Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) of the Group, and the regulations in force in all countries where we work. Thanks to the choice of rail transport of goods, FORWARDIS' offer is firmly in line with the sustainable development strategy of its customers and partners.
