Team Leader Sales – Rail Transport of Gas & Petroleum Products (m/f/d)

FORWARDIS GmbH, a successful company within the SNCF Group and a specialist in international rail freight forwarding, is looking to strengthen its Sales Team by hiring an experienced and dedicated Team Leader Sales – Rail Transport of Gas & Petroleum Products (m/f/d), with a focus on European LPG and petroleum product transportation by rail freight, based in Frankfurt am Main.

In this responsible position, you will lead a specialized team both professionally and disciplinarily while actively contributing to the further development of our European business segment.

Full-time, permanent position:

  • Location: Frankfurt am Main (close to the Central Station)
  • Area of Responsibility: European customers and railway operators
  • Full-time: 40 hours per week

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Professional and disciplinary leadership of a team of 6 employees in Key Account Management and Inside Sales / Operations
  • Management and coordination of commercial and operational business activities
  • Allocation and prioritization of customers, projects, and business development activities
  • Supporting, coaching, and developing team members
  • Responsibility for budget achievement, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Preparation of reports, forecasts, and business performance analyses
  • Representing the company towards customers, partners, and at industry events
  • Close collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and other departments
  • Direct reporting to the Sales Director

 

 

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed commercial training or a university degree
  • Several years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or rail logistics
  • Knowledge of European rail freight transportation, ideally in petroleum products and/or LPG
  • Previous leadership experience combined with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong numerical aptitude, and a customer-oriented approach
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in German and English, plus at least one additional European language
  • Resilient, proactive, and a strong team player
