- PRECISE AND REGULAR DELIVERY TIMES
With two to three containers per month, the furniture company wants to deliver to its outlets in China as soon as possible after the actual order date. In addition, the company's just-in-time inventory strategy requires warehouses to be planned to the day, ideally in order to serve Chinese consumers, who are very demanding when it comes to French luxury goods.
- A DOOR-TO-DOOR TRANSPORTATION PLAN
A factory near Lyon and 35 shops in China. The Duisburg route is a huge freight opportunity, but it must be part of a transport and logistics plan designed from the point of departure to the various delivery points.
Since January 2020, we've been supporting our client's sales expansion in China by handling their door-to-door rail freight. In addition to the 12,000 kilometres of traction and multiple transshipments, we also manage all their customs formalities. We also guarantee the traceability of their containers, provide continuous information on their location and arrival forecasts, and adapt as closely as possible to their sales planning needs. Finally, in the event of a health, environmental or political crisis, we honour our commitments by offering alternative routes and hubs through our Eurasian network.
TRANSPORTATION THAT’S TWICE AS FAST BY SEA
In addition to the speed advantage of rail over sea, it’s the reliability of rail schedules that offers the greatest competitive advantage. With a European border crossing at Siemianówka, our customers are assured of avoiding record congestion at the ports of Shanghai and the English Channel.
As an operator and pioneer of the New Silk Road since 2019, we are actively involved in innovation and continuous improvement for the benefit of our customers’ freight. We are participating in the prototyping of new wagons adapted to the different track gauges of the seven countries crossed by the Xi’an-Valenton route. We will soon be able to offer our customers a saving of ten days on the entire route.
