FORWARDIS GmbH, a successful company within the SNCF Group, specializes in international rail logistics and innovative transport solutions across Europe.
To strengthen our Blocktrain Operations department in Frankfurt am Main oder in Berlin, we are looking for a motivated Operations Specialist (m/f/d) in Dispatch / Control Tower as soon as possible.
Fixed-term contract: 2 years with option for extension
Location: Frankfurt am Main (near the main station) oder Berlin Check Point Charlie
Scope: European clients and railway companies
Working hours: Full-time in a shift system:
- Monday–Friday: 07:00–20:00
- Max. once per month weekend/public holiday duty (08:00–17:00)
Your responsibilities:
- Organization, coordination, and monitoring of train operations in collaboration with various national and international railway companies
- Regular and proactive communication with customers regarding the progress of their transport
- Monitoring and dispatching of trains and wagons (Track & Trace)
- Preparation and verification of transport and shipping documents
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations for dangerous goods transport (RID) across all organized shipments
- Management of our wagon fleet (dispatching, damage management, and maintenance/revision tracking)
Your profile:
- Experience in logistics or freight forwarding, ideally in rail logistics
- Ideally completed training as a dispatcher, freight forwarding agent, railway specialist, or similar
- Good language skills in German and English; additional European languages are a plus (e.g. French or Italian)
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Structured, solution-oriented, responsible, and customer-focused working style
- Team player with flexibility and ability to work under pressure in an operational environment
