FORWARDIS took part in the 5th BME/VDV Railway Sidings Conference in Wiesbaden, Germany, bringing together industry professionals to discuss the future of rail freight and rail-connected logistics.
Three colleagues from our Berlin and Frankfurt offices represented FORWARDIS at the event: Sebastian Dörr, Maximilian Bauch and our CEO, Aleksandra Röhricht.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with business partners, exchange ideas and present the solutions and services FORWARDIS offers to help customers shift freight to rail.
A key highlight was Aleksandra Röhricht's presentation on FORWARDIS' approach to European single-wagonload transport. She explained how freight forwarders can make this complex market more accessible and efficient for customers.
As Aleksandra emphasised:
“We should not expect our customers to manage the complexity of European rail freight. It is our job to manage it for them.”
At FORWARDIS, we believe that managing complexity is an essential part of delivering effective rail freight solutions. By combining expertise, strong partnerships and a customer-focused approach, we help businesses navigate European rail transport and identify opportunities for modal shift.
We would like to thank the organisers for hosting the event and everyone we had the pleasure of meeting in Wiesbaden. We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to move freight across Europe.
